Spotify

Spotify is a music service that offers users the ability to find music you like, store it in your Spotify library, and listen to it whenever you'd like - provided you have an internet connection.
This service was developed in Sweden during 2006, and has since had tremendous success in the United Kingdom. The Spotify service has expanded and has just recently, on an invite only basis, made the service available in the United States. Which much hype and anticipation, music lovers around the country are anxiously awaiting either an invite from a friend who's already using the service, or an invite directly from Spotify (can be attained if you enter your e-mail at their website).
I myself just recently got a hold of an invite and was quick to start using the service. I consider myself a music lover, and appreciate a large variety of musical tastes. From time to time I find myself away from my own laptop (with my music on it) as well as my iPod, and so if I would like to listen to music while on a computer I have to go to youtube and look up individual songs. This can get tedious. However, with Spotify, you find the song you like and are able to add it to your library, and there it stays, ready to be played when you'd like, along with whatever other songs you have saved to your playlist. Of course the draw back is you have to have a constant internet connection. Also, I believe that with the free membership (which is what I have) you have to go through advertisements between every few songs. Overall, I quite enjoy the service.
